getting ready......

It has been a long time since I blogged last.  I'm having a solo show at Naked Art Gallery in October , and time is fast approaching!  I know I have mentioned how I wait till the last minute to get things done- and here we again!  Anyhow the show is called " Southern Women"  .  Sounds so easy to come up with ideals for paintings and functional pieces but I am having a HARD time!  Any ideals?  I am posting a few new pieces and hope every one has a great week!

Sweet Home Alabama

Last Wednesday a terrible storm ripped though Alabama , and other states as well destroying all it came in contact with.  So many peoples life are changed forever.  I don't know why this happens , I have no answers-  why them, why not me-  but I do know the God I serve is bigger and if you let Him , He will put broken lifes back together.  Life is tough, there is "better" on the other side!  Thanks for listening......Tina

Happy Easter and some new art....

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!  I did my Easter fun stuff Wednesday with the grandson,  so tomorrow will be quiet around here.  First Easter without mom ,  a few sad "First" this year.  Getting older-what a bummer....  I did get some new art ready .   Again, enjoy tomorrow!

Yard Art for Naked Art Gallery

Today was the very latest day to turn in art for the "Garden Show " at Naked Art Gallery.  As usual I got finished at about lunch time and we barely made it.  I'm always a day late and a dollar short!  Its how I do everything!  Its those final touches and a touch up here or there.  Then the sizing, inventory list, and the dreaded-  NAMES - of each piece.  Sometimes you just know the name as your working on it, then alot of times you look and nothing comes to mind.....  and the time passes....  and its deadline day at about noon!

New Art

Hi. I have some new pieces ready and want to share, aslo some pictures of my sun porch that is way to full of my "treasures"  .  I received my first doll from Sandy Mastroni- and I love it!!!!  Also sharing some primitive dolls I bought from ebay.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

In the Groove

Painting is such a blessing.  You get lost in the process.  So why is it so hard to pick the brush up sometimes?  I've heard thats its important to paint daily, and I can see how that helps an artist.  The first stroke on a blank canvas after not painting in days can be overwhelming....

New art and Vanderbilt University

Hi,  I'm posting a few pieces that are almost done and a piece that will be on display at  Vanderbilt. What a honor!  It will be there for a little over a month.
